Community Voice

is the new Buxted Parish Council Newsletter.

It is about civil parish matters: planning, local policing, road safety, footpaths and bridleways, community centres, local businesses and clubs and so on. We aim to bring out an issue every three months, the next one in April.

In the Parish Plan many of you have said you would like to see a Parish newsletter – a traditional one delivered to your door rather than an e-newsletter. And to qualify for ‘quality status’ – a scheme to encourage minimum standards in parish and town councils – producing a Parish newsletter that is freely available to all residents in the Parish – is an essential requirement.

Through Community Voice we hope you will learn about what your parish councillors get up to every second Tuesday of the month – decisions taken, plans conceived and problems (hopefully) solved.

Community Voice is about your Parish – the three villages of Buxted, Five Ash Down, High Hurstwood and all the hamlets and dwellings in between. So please let us know what you think.

What parish issues would you like to read about? What are you views on parish council activities?
